Product Features

The 400G QSFP-DD FR4 is a channel full-duplex transceiver optical transceiver in a hot-swappable QSFP-DD package, compliant with QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE 802.3cu 400GBASE-FR4 Ethernet standard, with dual LC optical ports, transmission distance up to 2km over single-mode fiber (SMF), and maximum power consumption less than 10W.

Working Principle

The 400G QSFP-DD FR4 optical transceiver uses four uncooled EML lasers at CWDM wavelengths, which are DEMUX/MUXed to achieve a single-fiber 400G transmission rate. The transceiver converts eight 53.125Gb/s electrical signals into four 106.25Gb/s optical signals and multiplexes them into a single circuit for 425Gb/s optical transmission. Similarly, it demultiplexes a 425Gb/s input optical signal into a 4-channel optical signal and converts it into an 8-channel output electrical signal at the receiving end.
