Generic Compatible 800GBASE-2xDR4 PAM4 1310nm 500m Dual MTP/MPO-12 APC SMF Finned Top Optical Transceiver Module

QDD-800G-2xDR4 is a high-speed optical module based on PAM4 modulation technology. It complies with QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE 802.3ck/802.3cu standards, supports a total transmission rate of 800Gbps, and integrates 2 independent 400G DR4 channels. Each channel realizes 4-channel 100G (4x100G PAM4) data transmission through an MPO-12 interface. This module is suitable for switches equipped with 800G QSFP-DD ports. It can be connected to 800G modules or two 400G DR4 QSFP-DD modules through MPO-12 APC fiber cables.

Yes, it can be compatible with OSFP-800G-2xDR4 module to achieve 800G transmission, and two MPO-12 APC patch cords can be used with OSFP-400G-DR4 module to interconnect 800G and 400G devices.

Does the module support one-part-two applications? How to realize it?
A:
Yes, each MPO-12 port is connected to one 400G DR4 module, which can realize the connection of one 800G device to two 400G devices.
Q:
If only one of the MPO-12 ports is used, will it affect the module operation?
A:
No, the module can support part of the channel work, it is feasible to connect only one of the MPO-12 ports (a 400G DR4 link), but the total rate will be reduced to 400G.
