Description

O2O112-800G-CUAH Compatible 0.5m (1.6ft) Twin-port 2x400Gb/s OSFP Finned Top to 2x400Gb/s OSFP Flat Top Passive Copper Splitter Cable

NADDOD O2O112-800G-CUAH is an 800Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) Finned Top to 2x400Gb/s OSFP Flat Top passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) dual breakout (aka splitter) cable for 400Gb/s End-to-End Infiniband solutions. DAC cables are the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near zero power consuming, high-speed links available due to their simplicity of design and minimal components. Main use is linking an 800Gb/s Quantum-2 switch to OSFP-based 400Gb/s ConnectX-7 PCIe network adapter cards. NADDOD’s cable solutions provide power-efficient connectivity enabling higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a low cost and reduced power requirement in the data centers.

Product Highlights
Finned Top and Flat Top Unlock Optimal Application Scenarios

800G Breakout DAC integrates different heat sink designs of the two-end transceivers, unleashing powerful performance.

Finned Top and Flat Top Unlock Optimal Application Scenarios

The 800G OSFP end transceiver adopts a finned top to provide the necessary thermal management when handling massive data, which is applied for Quantum-2 InfiniBand switches and Spectrum-4 Ethernet switches.

Each module on the two or four 400G OSFP breakout side has a flat-top design used in CX7 NICs and relies on heatsinks on the NIC ports to assist the module in cooling.

Questions & Answers
Ask a Question
Q:
I only use the 1st splitter of the splitter IB cable, the 2nd splitter is not installed on the NIC, will it affect the use of the 1st splitter cable?
A:
It has no effect after the port is configured with a split port, it is recognized as two logical ports inside the device, and each splitter corresponds to one logical port, which has no effect on each other.
Q:
Why are there no NDR AOCs?
A:
OSFPs are very large and heavy and the fiber breaks easily. A two-splitter cable will have three large transceiver ends. A four-splitter cable will have five transceivers. That would almost certainly make it easy to break the fiber during installation - especially for a 30 meter AOC.
Q:
What is the maximum transmission distance of the O2O112-800G-DACH cable?
A:
The maximum distance the passive DAC can provide is 3M.
