We are interested in S4600-24X2C 24 port 10Gb switch. Before we buy, I wonder if VLAN works the same way in 10G and 100G ports. All ports are fully meshable the same way using VLAN?

VLAN is a communication technology that logically divides a physical LAN into different broadcast domains so that packets can only be exchanged between ports designated as the same VLAN. the VLAN feature facilitates broadcast storm control, enhances network security and stability, and allows for easier network management. VLAN can be configured directly in Config mode on the S4600-24X2C 10G L3 switch.

Can the S4600-24X2C be upgraded or a license added to support advanced features such as VXLAN/EVPN?

The S4600-24X2C 24 port 10GbE PoE switch supports online BootROM upgrade. After the upgrade is complete, restart takes effect. The S4600-24x2C Fiber Switch supports the centralized gateway and distributed gateway deployment modes. By encapsulating Layer 2 packets in UDP tunnel packets, the S4600-24x2C provides the same large Layer 2 network as the VLAN. It solves the problem that the number of vlans in the traditional data center network is insufficient and the scale is difficult to expand. It also supports the BGP-EVPN protocol to dynamically establish VXLAN tunnels.

Does the switch management platform offer link and traffic monitoring?

The device S4600-24X2C switch with two 100Gb uplink supports Console, Telnet, SSH, and other basic terminal services, as well as RMON, s-Flow, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, etc.

Hi, we want to buy an S4600-24X2C switch to replace our Cisco core switch. Can we use our SFP+ Cisco transceivers or do we need to buy new ones?

The S4600-24X2C switch does not require high compatibility for connecting products. Cisco SFP+ transceivers can be used with the S4600-24X2C 10Gb network switch.
