NADDOD O4O112-800G-CU1 is an 800Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) to 4x200Gb/s OSFP passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) dual breakout (aka splitter) cable for 400Gb/s End-to-End solutions. DAC cables are the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near zero power consuming, high-speed links available due to their simplicity of design and minimal components.Main use is linking an 800Gb/s Spectrum-4 switch to OSFP-based 200Gb/s ConnectX-7 PCIe network adapter cards and BlueField-3 DPUs. NADDOD’s cable solutions provide power-efficient connectivity enabling higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a low cost and reduced power requirement in the data centers.

Finned Top and Flat Top Unlock Optimal Application Scenarios

The 800G OSFP end transceiver adopts a finned top to provide the necessary thermal management when handling massive data, which is applied for Spectrum-4 Ethernet switches.

Each module on the two or four 400G OSFP breakout side has a flat-top design used in CX7 NICs and relies on heatsinks on the NIC ports to assist the module in cooling.

It will not affect. After port bifurcation, internally in the device, it is recognized as multiple logical ports, with each cable branch corresponding to a logical port, and they do not impact each other.

What is the maximum transmission distance of O4O112-800G-DAC cables?

Passive DAC cables can provide a maximum distance of 3 meters.
