NADDOD Q112-400G-SR4H is an InfiniBand and Ethernet 400Gb/s, Single-port, QSFP112, SR4 multimode parallel transceiver using a single, 4-channel MPO-12/APC optical connector. The Short Reach 4-channel (SR4) design uses 100G-PAM4 modulation and has a maximum fiber reach of 50-meters using OM4 multimode fiber and assumes two optical patch panels in the link. It has identical design and internals as the OSFP version, only with different connector shells.

OSFP and QSFP112 are two completely different form factors, and QSFP112 cannot be adapted to OSFP ports.

Are the modulation methods the same for Q112-400G-SR4H and OSFP-400G-SR4H?

Yes, they are the same. Both have 4x100G PAM4 modulation on the optical and electrical sides, and they are both flat-top modules used on the NIC side. Therefore, they are similar in terms of usage, and both can be connected to OSFP-800G-2xSR4H optical modules.

What is the maximum transmission distance of the Q112-400G-SR4H optical module?

When paired with OM4 multimode fiber patch cables, the maximum transmission distance is up to 50 meters.
